Taste Food and Wine- Wine Tasting
Bill Morton, Rogers Park Chamber of Commerce President, and Autumn Davids, Chamber volunteer, attended the wine tastings and as they both agreed, the wines were delicious, unique, and the experience was well worth it. The owners were helpful and gracious, the workers checking on those looking at the wines, and the place was crowded with great people, having fun and chatting about the wines, everyblock.com and so much more.

Small Business Week- Customer Loyalty
At the Constant Contact event, Small Business Week on May 23rd, the final speaker we were able to listen to was Carol Roth who spoke of Customer Loyalty.
Here are our notes:
- social media needs to have a goal outside of social media
- instead of return on interest, it becomes return on ego
- how do you get loyalty out of media?
- it's easy to reach people, but hard to engage them
- customers advertise
- volunteers, free advertising
- two types of customers
- spenders and senders
- you want to hit both types
- customer loyalty is built on relationships
- bridges > connections > relationships
- every customer has a different agenda
5 pillars
- product/service
- customer service
- community and affinity groups
- experiences
- bridges

We Want You for Fresh Start Mondays!
Fresh Start Mondays have been occurring the first and third Monday's since this April. The event has been a success, having a variety of people attend and even more express interest.
So far, we've covered 7315 N. Sheridan Road, following that, we worked on Jarvis Plaza, then we worked on Ravenswood Center and this past Monday we covered Rogers Plaza on Morse Avenue. Our next event will be June 4th at our standard 6 pm. We will be working on the corner of Estes Avenue and Clark Street where the Adelphi Theater was once located.
If you can't make it out to the events for whatever reason, you can still help! We would gladly take donations for the event. Charmers Cafe, for example, gave us some trash bags to assist us in our endeavor and Quest allows us use of their recycle bin, broom, and dust pan.
Some of the items we need are:
Broom
Dust Pan
Trash Bags
Aprons
Face Masks
Trash Can
Recycle Can
If you'd like to donate any of these items, please, contact us at (773) 850-0049 .
