International business and trade information and demographic, historical and economics statistics for the State of Illinois.


Cyber Drive Illinois Business Services, a part of the office of the Secretary of State, offers various business forms, as well as information on the Uniform Commercial Code, business organization acts, and other publications.




The Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) helps to promote Illinois as a global premier business destination and increase economic prosperity by coordination of business recruitment and retention, investment in infrastructure and job training, and administration of grant programs. In addition to providing various Illinois facts and figures, DCEO's site allows users to gain access to business assistance and  industry/business phase-specific guides, as well as information and updates on workforce and community development.




The Illinois International Business Calender provides a list of upcoming international business conferences and other events for Illinois. The calendar of events is also downloadable in PDF format.




Supported by Western Illinois University, the Illinois Small Business Development Center provides various business workshops, a business library, and some business services. Services include businesses counseling, innovations and technology transfer, and management and workforce training. A modest fee may be required.




The State of Illinois Business Portal is part of the official website of Illinois. Access is provided to information on starting, running, and changing a business in Illinois, as well as what makes Illinois a good business environment. In addition, various forms and business news are available.




The State of Illinois Open Data Portal Initiative contains a wealth of different kinds of statistics such as travel data, economic data, and health data, as well as data for each municipality. The site also contains links to Illinois microsites, which have unique data sets for municipalities.




The Illinois branch of the Department of Commerce specializes in helping small to medium-sized companies develop and execute exporting strategies. Fees vary and are based on the service being provided. The site provides industry reports, a trade events calendar, and information on financing resources.

The U.S. Department of Commerce Bureau of Economic Analysis is an agency of the Department of Commerce. Along with the Census Bureau, BEA is part of the Department's Economics and Statistics Administration.




The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) collects, analyzes, and disseminates independent and impartial energy information to promote sound policymaking, efficient markets, and public understanding of energy and its interaction with the economy and the environment.




Along with the other House officers, the U.S. House of Representatives Clerk is elected every two years when the House organizes for a new Congress.
