Chicago Comedy Film Festival Call for Entries Announced!
Chicago Comedy Film Festival announces its call for entry. The festival will open for submissions December 1st, 2015. The festival is going into its 6th year and will take place at The New 400 Theater November 4th & 5th 2016. Ten percent of submission fees given on opening day will go to The Chicago Foodbank for #GivingTuesday.
This year's categories have expanded to features, shorts, short shorts, microshorts, webisodes, music videos, and pilots.
Filmmakers can submit via Film Freeway or Withoutabox. Deadlines are February 1st, April 1st, June 6th, and July 1st. Films are selected by August 15th. Most categories must have Chicago premiere status. Entry fees range from $7-$105.
This year the festival hopes to see films centered around political and environmental issues due to the timing of the 2016 presidential election. Last year's themed shorts programs were a hit with audiences and the festival hopes to include a political theme in 2016.
