Taste of Rogers Park

First Taste of Rogers Park - Coming Soon

Inquiries about the Taste of Rogers Park:

Who is invited: The Taste of Rogers Park was envisioned by Mark Finley, the Rogers Park Chamber of Commerce's Events Coordinator. The vision the Chamber created is to bring together businesses, organizations, institutions, and residents together in one setting to have fun, have laughs, work on business... but most importantly of all, to unify Rogers Park. As a result, everyone is invited to this grand event.

What is the Taste of Rogers Park: The Taste of Rogers Park is a signature event, created by the Rogers Park Chamber of Commerce. We are hoping to have 60 different vendors, plus a main stage featuring national and local recording artists. We are also in the process of coordinating meeting times to have community leaders speak about Rogers Park at our event.

Where is it located: The Rogers Park Chamber of Commerce is working with Loyola Park Advisory Council to try and host the Taste of Rogers Park at Loyola Beach, near the site of Artists of the Wall.

Why are you putting together the Taste of Rogers Park: We are putting together the Taste of Rogers Park as part of our goal to unify Rogers Park. There is so much history here, that we feel the need to rebuild and reclaim our culture, as well as our heritage.

When is the first Taste of Rogers Park: The current goal is to have our first Taste of Rogers Park in 2013.

How can I help? It is very easy to help with the first Taste of Rogers Park. We have two monthly meetings on the second and fourth Saturday of the month at 5pm. Quest Network Services, located at 7301 N. Sheridan Road has been a great help by giving us the space to work and host our meetings.

Other Information:

The Taste of Rogers Park will provide the opportunity to all local businesses; banks, restaurants, community organizations, small businesses, and not for profits to show Rogers Park what they have to offer, whether it be by selling food, having informational packages lined up on the tables, or by just being there and available to talk. A part of the reason Loyola Park was chosen as our location is due to the park being near for children to play, and the beach being a great place to host a Beer Garden. We are also working on putting together an area with face painting, arts and crafts, and other fun things for children while parents listen to the bands at our stage.

MFN LIVE: Broadcast Network will be recording this event and posting it online, while the event is going! There will be many people putting this together such as Mark Finley and Bill Morton. The vendors will be interviewed, the attendees will get to speak, it'll be an event to remember!

Already, we are having a great amount of interest in people participating as a vendor, as a band playing on our stage, so contact us soon to get on our list!
